ʻAlalā

ʻAlalā

ʻALALĀ is a short cinematic fable about grief, memory, and the instinct to begin again. Set in a mist-covered Hawaiian volcanic forest, the film follows an injured Hawaiian crow who survives a devastating wildfire but loses his mate and two chicks. Unable to accept their absence, he rebuilds them from burnt branches, leaves, and ash—until the forest forces him to confront the truth.
